Hey, I made a new video on a Goalsetting system that actually works for normal people:
Ok, now let’s chat.
I hate the phrase “it is what it is.” I gave up living in “reaction mode” a long time ago. But still - in the last 2 years especially - I’ve found myself out of alignment with where I want to be and more importantly, with who I want to be. So I did a thing. Savannah and I attended the Full Focus “LifeFocus” virtual retreat. (complete with the planning kit) We FINALLY, after months of stress, TDYs (work travel) Air Force exercises, and the high-pressure environment that has defined much of our (work) time assigned here at Moody AFB - we had 2 glorious days to begin charting a new course as a couple. I won’t get into the deets too much here but I do want to say is… LifeFocus is Awesome!! This gamified life planning tool promises clarity and direction for the next decade, and it delivers!
Defining Your Values
One of the most impactful parts of the LifeFocus system was the exercise of defining my values. I was confronted with the realities of my everyday choices and the pressures that shape them. It was sobering to realize how often I've sidelined my core values in the name of professional obligations. This was a wake-up call for me to realign my daily life with what truly matters.
Crafting a Personal Mission Statement
Another feature of the LifeFocus kit was crafting a personal mission statement. This wasn't just about "setting goals; it was about capturing your identity, role, and spiritual gifts in one succinct statement. This exercise helped crystallize a sense of purpose and how I want to embody my beliefs and strengths.
Major Decisions on the Horizon
So yeah, it’s time for change. LifeFocus has driven some major decisions about our future. Savannah and I have started this journey of mapping out the next ten years. It’s been exciting and kinda scary TBH. More to come.
