Sometimes it feels like life is meaninglessly drifting by. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
Happy Friday people. This week is part 2 of our life planning series. This week is about how you clearly see the path to your desired future. In this edition, I'll help you answer two pivotal questions:
Where am I right now?
Where am I going?
Your best life is around the corner… if you bother to make a plan for it.
Step 1: Assess Where You Are Now
First things first, let's figure out where you are right now. I think the best way to do this is through the Life Score Assessment. This process allows you to evaluate every domain of your life—family, work, vocation, hobbies—and see where you stand. It only takes 10 minutes to complete and gives you a concrete score in each area.
Why It's Important: Without knowing your current status, you can't chart a course for change. This assessment provides an honest look at your current trajectory, highlighting areas for improvement and also telling you what's working well.
Take Action:
Complete the Life Score Assessment: It's free.
Reflect on Your Scores: Compare your current state to your personal core values. Are you on the right track, or do you need to make some changes?
Step 2: Define Where You Want to Go
Now, it’s time to be aspirational. Where do you want to be in 10 years? The Life Focus Kit from Full Focus is kinda the cheat code to make this easy. But literally take out a notebook, write down every domain of your life and journal your desired future.
Take each domain and write a single journal entry describing yourself in the present tense, 10 years from now.
Work Domain Example: I am a published Author, a sought-after speaker, and have built a platform that is changing lives for the better.
Breaking It Down:
Set Milestones: These are significant achievements that will guide you toward your 10-year vision. For example, you might aim to run your 1st marathon or write your first book within the 3 years.
Establish Habits: What daily or weekly practices will help you reach these milestones? Consistent actions like regular workouts, healthy eating, or writing are non-negotiables.
Putting It All Together
When you combine your understanding of where you are now with a clear vision of where you want to go, you create a powerful life plan. This isn't a quick fix but a journey that requires time for you to ACTUALLY WRITE IT DOWN! This A life plan isn’t a heady concept that you “think about.” It takes intentional effort.
